Cat Boarding FAQ

What vaccinations are required for cats?

To keep our feline friends safe and healthy, we require proof of vaccination for rabies and feline distemper combo.

Harmony Pet Resort Vaccination Policy
Harmony Pet Resort maintains industry-best vaccination requirements to protect all our guests, and one of the ways we do this is by requiring all pets staying with us to have up-to-date vaccination records on file.  The required vaccinations for dogs include Rabies, Distemper/Lepto/Parvo, Bordetella (every 6 months), and Canine Influenza.  VACCINATION RECORDS MUST BE PROVIDED PRIOR TO YOUR DOG’S STAY WITH US!  To ensure a hassle-free check-in, it helps to make sure we have the vaccination records well before the date of your check-in.  Please email your pet’s vaccine records at least 7 days before your scheduled arrival.
 
Your pet’s up-to-date and complete vaccination records must be received by us 48 hours before the scheduled appointment or reservation.  If not, your appointment or reservation will be cancelled.
 
Vaccinations should be given at least 5-7 days prior to visiting Harmony Pet Resort.
 
Please email your pet’s vaccination records to:  info@harmonypetresort.com with your dog’s name and “Vaccination Records” in the subject line.
 
Titres are accepted in lieu of vaccinations.
·         DHLPP:  Initial puppy shots required, Booster thereafter every one to three years.
·         Rabies:  At 16 weeks of age, thereafter, as required by law.
·         Bordetella:  Every 6 months or 24 hours prior to boarding.
·         Parainfluenza:  Usually given at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age as part of the DA2PP schedule.
·         Canine Influenza Virus:  At least 3-4 weeks prior to boarding.  Canine Influenza is given yearly.
 
 
While vaccinations are very helpful in preventing the spread of infectious disease, they do not provide 100 percent protection.  Therefore, at Harmony Pet Resort we do our very best to ensure that our facility is as sanitary as possible.  We follow industry standard cleaning procedures and use a state-of-the-art HVAC system to ensure proper ventilation.  We also train our staff to be on the lookout for any signs of illness in any of the pets in our care.

Are reservations required?

Our exceptional level of care depends on the right level of staffing every day. For this reason, we do require reservations. Please call us to get yours started.

Can I come tour the facility?

Absolutely, we’d love for you to see our resort. Visit us during our normal business hours and a team member will take you on a guided tour and answer all your questions

Do you offer a trial stay?

We’d love for your kitty friend to try us, so their first night is free of charge.

Should I bring my cat’s own food?

To keep your pet on the diet they’re accustomed to, we ask you please bring their usual food bagged and labeled per serving.

What about their toys?

We have lots of fun kitty toys to keep your pet entertained, so there’s no need to bring any from home.

Can you accommodate special needs cats?

Harmony Pet Resort can accommodate pets with many kinds of special needs. Please call us to discuss how we can accommodate your pet. We’ll consult with your pet’s veterinarian to determine if our resort is the best place for your pet to stay.

My pet takes medication. Can you administer medication to pets?

Yes, we’re able to administer many oral and topical medications for a small fee. Please bring all medications in their original containers with clearly written instructions.

Can my multiple cats stay together?

Absolutely. Kitty families are welcome to stay in our extra-large cat condos with more than enough room for everyone to stretch out and relax.

Do you require an activity package?

Yes. We believe activity and interaction are necessary for a happy and healthy stay. Since pets are not one-size-fits-all, each pet parent gets to customize a discounted activity package for their pet. All of our packages provide varying levels of activity, interaction, engagement, and routine for your pet to enjoy while they’re here. We want each pet to have the most fun while doing what they love!
